ADVANTAGE RANCH Center for Equine Interactive Concepts is currently operating at a multi-million dollar facility in the scenic Blue Ridge mountains of southwest Virginia. Three hundred and fifty acres of pasture and woodlands are home to the areas premier horse facility. Opened in 1976, this family owned farm was founded by Del and Doris Dyer, long time Blacksburg residents. Today, the facility is home to four thriving horse businesses. The modern, all-weather facility features an 80' by 200' indoor riding arena together with stalls for 33 horses and all amenities under one roof. Adjacent to the main barn is an ample outdoor arena, various turnout and exercise paddocks, and plentiful trails for out riding. This lovely setting offers every opportunity to experience how the outside of a horse is good for the inside of a person. Although Del and Doris have retired from active horse business, the farm is still a family affair under the direction of daughter, Debora Anne Dyer, a dedicated horse professional since 1979. Under Deb Dyer's guidance the facility offers the highest standard of horse care and professional support for riders and horse enthusiasts. "Family values isn't just a saying here, it is the cornerstone of how we do business and the glue that makes these diverse professional services work well together." Deb Dyers twenty year career has specialized in the use of horses to improve the lives of children facing personal and family challenges. She now serves as the Executive Director of ADVANTAGE RANCH Center for Equine Interactive Concepts. At the current location ADVANTAGE RANCH operates a community based center in Equine Interactive Counseling, provides support materials and consulting services for the therapeutic riding industry, conducts private training sessions for coaches, and maintains a budding research initiative.
