AN INVESTMENT IN YOUR FUTURE

ADVANTAGE RANCH program for student children is an investment in your future which will improve your outlook on life and enhance your ability to make your life turn out the way you want. It is the process of learning to dream. We’ll help you turn your dreams into reality by nurturing your talents and aspirations, developing self understanding, building good partnerships in your personal relationships, and challenging you to participate in your community.

Is all of this affordable? The answer is a definite yes. Thanks to the work of ADVANTAGE Foundation, we make it possible to you and your family to invest in the ADVANTAGE RANCH student program -- and your success makes it all worthwhile.

What do we do first?

First, tell your sponsor trainee that you are excited about coming to ADVANTAGE RANCH. Fill out the Application form your sponsor provides. Be sure this form is complete, and signed by the child’s parent(s) or legal guardian. Return the form to your sponsor for their signature. The sponsor will include your paperwork with their own, and send the complete package to ADVANTAGE RANCH. We cannot award financial aid until this application process is complete.

What is financial aid?

Financial aid is the assistance awarded to you and your family to cover the difference between our tuition and the amount your family can afford to pay. For student children this assistance is in the form of partial or total grants in aid. These grants are gifts from ADVANTAGE Foundation. They do not need to be repaid.

Can I get assistance not based on need?

Yes, we award scholarships for situations of special circumstances that may not be based in financial need. This is why our application process requests a personal essay that relates your unique story. It helps us get to know you, and makes your experience with us more valuable.

How do I apply for financial assistance?

Application for financial aid involves two sources of information. First, complete the  Application for  Student Aid. Second, write your personal request for aid in the form of an essay (by the student if age 10 or above, by the parent and student if less than 10), with a cover letter from your sponsor. This essay should be limited to two typed, single spaced pages or 1000 words. The sponsor letter is limited to one page. Submit the form and your essay with your application.

What happens next?

If you were using the FAFSA as part of a college enrollment process the forms would be submitted to the Federal Student Aid Processor who would determine your eligibility. Since ADVANTAGE RANCH is an independent learning opportunity we process these forms in house. The staff of ADVANTAGE Foundation review you application using the same need analysis formula that Congress mandates for the Federal Student Aid Processor. Usually within two weeks, you will be notified of your award.
