ADVANTAGE RANCH offers Equine Interactive Counseling to a select number of children at its current site, together with consulting services for the equine facilitated mental health industry nationwide. Through the new training cirriculum planned for 1998 and beyond, an additional 120 community based Equine Interactive Counseling programs can be established annually. During the next decade these programs will realistically expect to help improve the lives of nearly a million children. In order to meet these training goals, ADVANTAGE RANCH plans to develop a new residency training and treatment center, to expand current program development, and in conjunction with the ADVANTAGE Foundation to establish financial aid opportunities so that everyone wishing to participate may do so. To meet these goals we invite your support for the following philanthropic activities. The Campus Development Campaign seeks to raise $14.8 million for the purchase of land, construction of facilities, and purchase of depreciable equipment for the ADVANTAGE RANCH Training and Treatment Center. The site will have many important features including natural beauty, pristine environment and accessible location in a community with an established reputation of sensitivity for child welfare. On the selected property we have planned construction of twenty-seven buildings and program sites to complete the campus. The Program Campaign seeks to raise $4.5 million for current operations in the three year period preceding completion of the new facilities. These include the ongoing costs of horse care, ranch activities, program promotion, salaries, and other costs of operation. The Endowment Campaign seeks to raise $10 million in funds to support the on term work of ADVANTAGE Foundation. Endowment funds will be managed by the Foundation with a goal for annual return on investment of 17%. Profits from these investments will be awarded in to meet the Foundation mission. Primarily these profits will (1) provide funding for expanded program development, impact assessment design, creation of resource materials, and establishment of certifications and continuing education programs in Equine Interactive Counseling, and, (2) provide financial aid for ADVANTAGE RANCH training and treatment participants, and seed money for Equine Interactive Counseling programs nationwide. The Future of the Industry drive provides a cost effective way for horse enthusiasts from all breeds and disciplines to support this program. The 1998 goal for this drive is $3 million in unrestricted funds. Sponsors Drive The Sponsors Drive provides the avenue for businesses to support this program though donation of goods, services, and products for use in training and treatment programs of ADVANTAGE RANCH. |
