Happy February Birthday to Stephanie Welch: Congratulations on your new horse!

If you want an opportunity to learn from some of the top competitors and coaches in the country:

"The Clinic Series" invites top Coaches from around the country to Advantage Ranch several times each year. These multi-day events are designed to highlight the connections between horses and humans in the pursuit of seamless communication and effortless performance excellence. Each Clinic involves classroom, demonstration, and hands-on coaching elements for a select number of participants as well as opportunities for auditors to watch and learn from the Clinicians while on the ground. Please see The Clinic Series website for further details.

If you want your child to 'sample' the horse experience, discover if they like it:

Join our riding students during "Saturday Short Stirrups" for children ages 8 to 12. This is a fun filled three hour morning program of horse activities. Attendees include our riding students, their guests, and children getting their first exposure to horses.

If you are a working parent
whose child is enjoying a school holiday:

"Explore the Horse" is a fun filled day of horse related activities designed to introduce your child to the wonders of horses. Offered several times a year, this Exploration includes games, crafts, learning activities, hands on the horse and riding time. We provide lunch, snacks, beverages and lots of cool extras! Limited enrollment, call for the schedule.

If you or your child loves gymnastics, dance, and horses:

"Vaulting" is the art of gymnastics performed to music on the back of the moving horse. It is one of the seven recognized international equestrian events and provides an incredible opportunity for both boys and girls to gain confidence, strength, flexibility, and body control while working with horses in a supportive and fun group environment.

If you want an opportunity to improve specific elements of your equitation or horsemanship skills in order to improve communication or solve behavioral problems:

Our "In-House Video Seminars" are half-day activities designed to highlight a specific aspect of rider equitation or horsemanship skills. These Seminars involve a morning riding component that is filmed, a review session in which instruction is paired with observations made on film, and followed by a second mounted period in which adjustments and evaluation is conducted. Each participant will be given his/her video footage on DVD with written descriptions of the recommended practice exercises as a take-away for further review and continued education.

If you are an adult rider seeking fellowship
and new technical skills:

Join our "Horsemanship Happy Hour" for adult riders age 21+. The program offers a technical mini clinic on one aspect of horse training each session. Bring your own horse or ride one of ours. Subjects may include forehand turns, haunch turns, counter bends, side pass, trail obstacles, round pen strategies and more. Clinic followed by social time featuring Happy Hour snacks and beverages. Portion of the proceeds support Hoofbeats Therapeutic Riding Center in Lexington, VA.

If you want to get to know, or revisit
a spiritual connection with horses:

"Spirit Horse Journeys" offers the unique power of experiences in the horse-human bond as a path for improved personal well-being. Meet fun loving people, ride fine horses, explore natural environments with varied eco-systems, experience mind-body-spirit connection, enjoy outstanding photo opportunities!
