"I dont know how I would have survived my adolescence if it werent for my horse" I hear this over and over as I travel around the country. It never ceases to amaze me how many adults recognize this truth, but short of giving every child their own horse they dont know how to share this experience with children who need some survival help. Until now there has not been a standardized duplicable system for using horses to help children deal with lifes challenges. Equine Interactive Counseling is the way. I have dedicated my life to understanding how horses help children grow into responsible, caring, hard working, giving adults. The opportunity to work with ADVANTAGE RANCH, and the talented team at the Center for Equine Interactive Concepts, has provided a vehicle for sharing my lifes work with others. In this way our combined efforts can make a big difference in the quality of life for nearly a million children in the first decade of the next millennium. Parents no longer need to consider horse ownership or uncertified riding lesson programs as the only way to give their children this valuable support. I urge every parent to learn about Equine Interactive Counseling and to share it with their children. Deb Dyer, Executive Director |
